Graeme and I ran at Cowra this weekend in the AMSAG Rally. The event was held over two days with some shire roads near Cowra then headed out into the nearby State Forest.

This being Graeme's 3rd ever gravel rally, we were seeded in position 18, with some quite experienced competitors around us. One noted fact was that there was a predominance of hotted up Datsun's in the field, plus the super fast Porsche of Jeff David.

Saturday was quite interesting with the first two stages fast shire roads. Then into the 27km Koala stage, this stage was run three times for the day, with Graeme improving by over a minute on the stage by the third run. Saturday was also quite dry with planty of dust but a nice breeze keeping the stages clear.

The team ended Saturday in 8th place, so a well earned beer or two was sunk at the dinner.

Sunday was wet, after a stormy night, the highlight of the day the speedway was cancelled and the day was shortened to just three short runs over the same stretch of road. Ended the day in 7th and first 4WD. Jeff David won the event from Brett Kuhner in a Datsun.
